People heard the terrifying noise and saw fire and ash rising high above the mountain. Everyone was in panic. They ran out of their houses, leaving everything behind.
ReplyDeleteAs the lava moved closer, the villagers escaped into the nearby forest. That night, they slept under the trees, scared and cold. They stayed in the forest for several weeks, waiting for the eruption to stop and the danger to pass.
When they finally returned to their village, they were shocked. Ash and dust covered everything. Their homes were gone, and the streets were full of debris. The people were very sad. Their beautiful village had turned into ruins.
