* My mum didn't send me to school because I was under the weather.

the ball is in your court = e timpul sa iei tu decizia 

* The ball is in your court so we are waiting for your decision.

to spill the beans = a dezvalui un secret ( din gresala)

* My sister tells me a lot of her secrets because I never spill the beans to our parents.

to break a leg = noroc / bafta

* " Break a leg " means " have good luck ". 

to pull someone's leg =  a irita / intarata pe cineva

* He is going to pull my leg, isn't he?

to sit on the fence = a sta deoparte / a fi indecis

* We cannot count on him , he is sitting on the fence ! 

through thick and thin = la bine si la rau

* They've been friends through thick and thin for a couple of years now.

once in a blue moon = very rarely 

* To find a four-leaved clover happens once in a blue moon.

it is the best thing since sliced bread = ceva deosebit, remarcabil , grozav

* Do you think that the telephone is the best thing since sliced bread?

to take something with a pinch of salt = a nu te agita in urma unei situatii / gluma

* She doesn't seem able to take our jokes with a pinch of salt.
