Steve was a horse that ran very fast and he won all the competitions in the past. He had a very long neck that meant he could strech across the finishing line, long legs with long stride, a big chest good for deep breaths, plus dorsal muscles strong enough to push him forward. This year something went different at this year race-a-thon and he had to get a team to run with. His team was formed by the turtle, the duck and the snail. Steve thought and thought and he decided to coach them.
Steve gave lots of advice to his team. He advised the duck to stretch her neck, brush her teeth and not to eat more sugar cubes. He asked the snail to take deep breaths and to eat three bowls of oats a day. He suggested the turtle to lift her hooves, to rest more and to sleep on fresh straw.
The day of the race-a-thon arrived, the first trial was in a zone with bushes with thorns. The turtle finished the trial first because she had the protective shell. The stick was given to the snail. This one rolled down the hill and passed the stick to the duck, which was able to swim across the swamp. Now it was Steve's turn to show what he could do. But Steve was so excited that he wasted precious time and he was the last at the finish line
Steve was sad but the team thanked him for his coaching and all realised that coaching mattered more than the race itself.
